Shelf numbers

We buy copies of books on your reading lists for the library. If they're available in electronic format, we will also buy them.

Is there a book you would like us to buy for the library?  Send us a recommendation using this form:

The print collections are organised by numbers on the spines of the books (shelf numbers) so that all the items on the same subject are in the same place. Here are some of the main numbers for books on paramedic science and emergency care.

Here are some of the main numbers for public health:

Epidemiology 614.1
Global Health 362.1
Health Policy 362.1
Health Promotion 613
Public Health 362,1
Public Health in the UK 362.10941

E-books

We will buy e-books for titles on your reading lists (as well as print copies) where they are published in e format,  so that there is always a copy available.

Find relevant sections or chapters quickly by searching our e-book collections directly. This lets you search the full text of lots of e-books at once.

Free online books

You might be able to find textbooks freely available on the Internet.
