Go to the Library page on MyARU
(Or you can go to Library Search from the Library homepage)
Type your keywords into the search box and click on 'Search'.
Your page will then show a list of results.

You can also use the "Personalise" feature above the list of results to select your preferred subjects.
In the "Find in Library" section, click on the campus to find a list of items, their shelf number and their availability.

You use the shelf number to locate the book on the shelves (e.g. 378.170281 POT).
To request a book, first login by clicking the "login" link in the yellow box. The request link will appear when the page reloads after you have logged in.
No time to login to a PC on campus?
There are dedicated PCs on every floor solely for searching the library catalogue, so if you're in a rush you don't need to login to a PC.
Books on the same topic
Library books are grouped by subject. Once you have the shelf number, check out the books in that area to find other relevant material.
Missing book?
You've found the right aisle and the right shelf but the book just isn't there? Try looking in the re-shelving area on that floor. It may be waiting to be put back on the shelf by staff.
Still can't find it? Head to the helpdesk and our staff will be happy to help you search for the book.

Finding Books on the shelves

On the spine (or sometimes the cover) of every book is a small sticker with typed numbers and letters.
This is the book's shelf number. Once you know the shelf number of books that you are interested in, you can find them on that shelf.
