Featured and new resources

ASTM Standards

As well as all the British Standards, we have access to two key ASTM standards via the British Standards Online database.

ASTM E1618 - 19 Standard Test Method for Ignitable Liquid Residues in Extracts from Fire Debris Samples by Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry and ASTM E1412 - 19 Standard Practice for Separation of Ignitable Liquid Residues from Fire Debris Samples by Passive Headspace Concentration with Activated Charcoal

Interested in other ASTM Standards?  Contact Us to start a discussion.

Fingermark Visualization Manual now publicly available

Great news! The 2nd edition of this important document is now available for public use after being restricted to Police personnel only.

This replaces the first edition that the Library subscribed to - remember to use the new version instead of any saved older version

'Grey' literature' - find out more

This guide has a new page - all about 'Grey' literature - those reports and statistics published by practitioners, governments, and research bodies that aren't always easy to find.

Send useful general suggestions for resources to be added to the page to your Subject Librarian via the Ask ARU Portal.

There's also a new resource on the page: Overton - specifically designed to help you find relevant reports.

Don't forget to look at our Database page on this guide to help you find good academic literature.
