Databases

A database is a searchable collection of information and may contain a range of information including books, journal articles, reports, newspaper articles, reviews, film and TV.

Some specialise in one subject or a specific type of infomation (e.g journal articles), others have a range of information types suitable for all subjects.

Database links and information

There are many databases that could potentially be useful for Music or Drama Therapy depending on your topic focus. Below are some suggestions but please see other Subject Guides for more options, for example Nursing (for health), Education, Psychology, Music and Drama. 

PhD students should include Web of Science and/or Scopus in any systematic style search as these are the largest indexers of quality journals.

Health

SCOPUS: World’s largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature. Scopus Web of Science: Large abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature. Similar to SCOPUS. Web of Science
