Good Publication Guidance: Introduction

Resources to help support good academic publishing practice

Introduction

The purpose of this guide is to direct you to key resources to help support good academic publishing practice. It provides guidance about how to identify quality venues for your work, as well as strategies to help maximise the reach and impact of your research. It is directed at researchers at all levels.

High-quality, high-impact outputs are at the heart of ARU's Research and Innovation Strategy, which sets out ambitious targets to increase the volume, quality, and impact of our publications This guide provides practical advice to help ARU researchers meet these ambitions. It acknowledges both the changing scholarly communications landscape and drivers such as funder policies on dissemination and publication.

The main focus of this guide is on research outputs that constitute journal articles. Further guides will be produced to support monograph publishing and non-standard outputs. To explore the guide, please click on the tabs above.
